Lander County Criminal History is an independent reference website, not a government service. It does not maintain official files, retrieve a record on a visitor's behalf, perform an authorized background check, or submit court or agency paperwork.

The website identifies custodians and access routes, including the Lander County Sheriff's Office, township Justice Courts, Eleventh Judicial District Court, Nevada State Police RCCD Records Bureau Central Repository, and Nevada Sex Offender Registry. Agency records governed by the Nevada Public Records Act, NRS Chapter 239, must still be requested from the office that holds them. Nevada criminal-history access and dissemination are separately limited by NRS Chapter 179A.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you must not:

• Use the website in violation of local, Nevada, or federal law
• Apply information to threaten, follow, intimidate, or harass another person
• Rely on website content for employment, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
• Attempt unauthorized entry into any account, server, network, or restricted function

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked resource may not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct is forbidden and can violate criminal law. Nevada places specific limits on use of Nevada Sex Offender Registry information. Registry data supports lawful public-safety awareness; it does not authorize vigilantism, retaliation, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination. Lander County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the FCRA. It does not create consumer reports, credit files, or background-screening reports. Its advertising partners likewise do not offer tools intended to assess applicants, renters, insurance risk, or credit. You may not use website or linked-tool information to:

• Evaluate a tenant, renter, or housing application
• Set insurance terms or measure a person's credit standing
• Decide eligibility for a permit, professional license, or public benefit
• Carry out any other activity regulated by the FCRA

For a legally authorized screening purpose, use an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider or the official process administered by the Nevada State Police RCCD Records Bureau Central Repository.

Website content is general information, not legal advice. Descriptions of Lander County charges, warrants, convictions, or Nevada record sealing do not determine anyone's rights or legal options. Obtain advice about a specific matter from an attorney licensed in Nevada.
